We recommend you gather this information from your company\/ membership provider before purchase.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>If you opt for the Free PGD add-on, you will be provided with the Flu PGD written for the 2024\/25 season. Please note that this PGD will be sent to the email address provided on the order, upon release.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>General information<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please note, due to audit and attendance purposes we will require individual bookings only.<\/p>\n<p>Please show your completed booking email\/confirmation at your training session.<\/p>\n<p>Booking\/eLearning enrolment and any further subsequent PGD\u2019s are processed Monday to Friday, 09:00am to 5pm, with 24\/48 process time required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Course outline<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This course is open to pharmacy team members who are authorised to operate under a PGD, including both those new to vaccinations as well as those requiring a refresher.<\/p>\n<p>This 3.5-hour face to face training course covers all practical skills required to vaccinate adults and children over the age of 2.<\/p>\n<p>You will also have access to an online course which provides all the theory content required.<\/p>\n<p>By the end of this course, you will be able to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Deliver Intramuscular and Subcutaneous injections into the deltoid and thigh.<\/li>\n<li>Reconstitute vaccines.<\/li>\n<li>Draw up multi dose vial injections.<\/li>\n<li>Deliver intranasal vaccination.<\/li>\n<li>Provide CPR.<\/li>\n<li>Recognise and treat anaphylaxis with the use of adrenaline for children and adults.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Patient Group Direction (PGD)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our private PGD\u2019s are authorised per pharmacist, for use within one company under the direction of the superintendent. You will not be able to transfer a PGD to another company.<\/p>\n<p>ECG supply PGDs for privately managed services only. For NHS funded vaccination services, national PGDs and Protocols are available from PSNC and other NHS organisations.
