Influenza vaccines
Indications:
This PGD covers seasonal vaccination against influenza in those who are 6 months of age and over. It also includes the nasal vaccination (Fluenz)
The PGD covers all listed UKHSA vaccines recommended for the current season
Suggested Training:
• Vaccination training such as that offered by ECG Healthcare.
• Refresher course for BLS/anaphylaxis
Other suggested training to include ‘self directed’ study, for example:
• NICE guidelines
• Green Book
• Product SPCs for available influenza vaccines
• UKHSA publications for the current influenza season
